Discover Le Mauresque Agadir

When you find yourself in Agadir, Morocco, and you're craving a meal that embodies both local flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, Le Mauresque Agadir on Boulevard du 20 Aout is a must-visit. This charming restaurant offers a delightful blend of Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine, set in a cozy and intimate setting that makes it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

One of the first things that strikes you upon entering Le Mauresque is its inviting, warm ambiance. The rustic yet modern decor combines traditional Moroccan touches with contemporary comfort. It’s the kind of place that feels like home from the moment you step inside. The spacious dining area is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of natural light streaming through the windows during the day, and a soft, ambient glow at night that adds to the relaxed vibe.

The menu at Le Mauresque is a true representation of Moroccan culinary delights. Whether you're in the mood for a light bite or a hearty meal, there's something for everyone. The restaurant is known for its fresh, high-quality ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. Local seafood, such as grilled fish and calamari, are popular choices, and they come highly recommended by regulars. The catch of the day is always worth checking out, as it highlights the freshest options from the local markets.

For those craving a more traditional Moroccan experience, Le Mauresque doesn't disappoint. Their tagines, slow-cooked in traditional clay pots, are filled with rich, aromatic flavors that transport you to the heart of Morocco. The lamb tagine, in particular, is a standout, with tender meat that practically melts in your mouth, paired with a medley of spices and vegetables that offer both depth and balance. Another popular dish is the couscous, a classic Moroccan comfort food that is often served with lamb or chicken, topped with an assortment of vegetables, making for a filling and satisfying meal.

But it’s not just the main courses that impress at Le Mauresque. The starters and sides are just as exceptional. The fresh salads, prepared with a variety of locally sourced vegetables, provide a refreshing start to any meal. A must-try is their zaalouk, a smoky eggplant salad seasoned with garlic, cumin, and olive oil. This simple yet flavorful dish perfectly complements the more robust flavors of the main courses.

While the food alone is enough to draw a crowd, it’s the impeccable service at Le Mauresque that keeps guests coming back. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always eager to share recommendations. They take the time to explain the ingredients in each dish and ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of excellent. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, the welcoming nature of the team makes you feel like part of the family.

The location of Le Mauresque, situated on Boulevard du 20 Aout, is another reason why it’s a favorite among both locals and tourists. It’s easily accessible and offers a perfect spot for people-watching. If you’re lucky enough to dine during the cooler months, you can sit on the outdoor terrace and enjoy a breeze as you savor your meal, soaking in the sights and sounds of Agadir.

In terms of value, Le Mauresque is well-priced for the quality of food and service it provides. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave feeling satisfied. While it may not be the cheapest option in Agadir, it’s certainly worth every dirham for the experience, food, and hospitality that come with it.

It’s no surprise that Le Mauresque has garnered glowing reviews from those who have dined here. Guests frequently praise the restaurant for its authentic Moroccan flavors and the high level of service they receive. Many also mention how the experience here feels both upscale and down-to-earth, striking the perfect balance between quality and comfort. Whether you're visiting for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner, you can expect to be treated to an unforgettable meal.

In addition to the exquisite food and service, Le Mauresque also offers a variety of beverages, including local wines and refreshing drinks that pair perfectly with the meal. Whether you're in the mood for a glass of Moroccan wine or a refreshing mint tea to end your meal, the drink selection caters to different tastes.

For those looking to explore Agadir’s vibrant food scene, Le Mauresque Agadir is undeniably a standout. With its combination of delicious cuisine, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service, it’s a place that you’ll want to return to time and time again. • I had an outstanding birthday meal here, the food was truly authentic and diverse in flavours, a great service and overall excellent experience I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a fine dining experience in Agadir, compliments to our waiter Hamid for such excellent attention to detail and looking after us 11/10

  • Lovely meal and great service! We had the beef carpaccio to start which just melted in our mouths! Followed by a fillet steak and the lamb shank which were both divine! The local red wine (half bottle) was also great! Just a short walk from the Sofitel where we where staying. The decor was tasteful Morocco style and the service was great! Highly recommend!

  • Don’t walk past - go in. Lovely environment. We were served by Hamed. So so efficient and was practically running around with our table of 9. Totally forgot what great restaurant service is like nowadays. He reminded that it can be achieved. Without hoovering over the table. Food - great Choice of food - great Portion size - huge Surrounding - fantastic

  • The place is marvelous: it resembles an aristocratic home, adorned with carpets, wooden furniture, comfortable sofas, colorful cushions, and soft lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere. The service was adequately attentive, and the menu decent, though it offered limited vegetarian options: only couscous with vegetables and goat cheese as a starter. I ordered the goat cheese, and while it was delicious and delicate in flavor, the portion was quite small—insufficient for a proper dinner.

  • I had an incredible dining experience at this beautiful restaurant! The ambiance was absolutely stunning, with attention to every detail that made it feel both elegant and cozy. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but what truly stood out was the service. Abdoullah was exceptional attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect evening. His professionalism and warm demeanor made all the difference. Highly recommend this place, and I can’t wait to visit again

  • Beautiful place and beautiful food! We arrived at 7pm which is bit early for locals and it got busy after 10pm when the live music started. Highly recommend!

  • Beautiful restaurant with live music later in the evening. Delicious Moroccan food in luxury surroundings. However beware the cost of alcoholic drinks, wine ranges from 350 to about 600, and champagne starts at 1500 Far too expensive for me.
